He was admitted by the Portuguese Bar Association on July 27, 1951 and was a holder of the professional certificate 696.

He was considered a prestigious lawyer and he dedicated his career to the services of the Rule of Law, of the Portuguese Bar Associations and of the lawyers. He was also acted in a very committed way both in political and civil life. On June 23rd, 2004, the City Hall of Vila Nova de Famalicão awarded him the Medal of Honor of the Municipality.
He was considered a prestigious lawyer and he dedicated his career to the services of the Rule of Law, of the Portuguese Bar Associations and of the lawyers. He was also acted in a very committed way both in political and civil life. On June 23rd, 2004, the City Hall of Vila Nova de Famalicão awarded him the Medal of Honor of the Municipality.
As a Lawyer, he had a partnership with the Lawyer Ruben de Carvalho and, over the years, he was the coordinator of a large number of trainee lawyers, many of them joined his Law office, as a sign of the team spirit and of the investment and commitment in coaching and learning.
